as-seen-on-tv-pitchmen-chef-brian-duffyChef Brian Duffy was born into a big Irish-Italian family who would crowd into the kitchen to prepare their meals together. It was here that he developed his passion for cooking. Duffy went on to study the French method at The Restaurant School in Philadelphia, then worked under world-renowned Chef Jean Marie LaCroix at The Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia. From there, Chef Brain Duffy partnered in opening Kristophers, a BYOB restaurant whose unassuming style and inventive dishes met with widespread critical acclaim.

Following his time at Kristophers, Duffy became the Corporate Executive Chef of Kildare’s Irish Pub. He was on the forefront of the celebrated gastropub movement and he developed what he called the New Celtic cuisine. Following his tenure at Kildare’s, Chef Duffy joined forces with Seafood America as a consultant and Executive Chef, where he developed Tapas Tonite.

Chef Duffy has also carved out a second profession as a television personality. Making his debut on Food Network’s “Date Plate,” Duffy went on to appear on DIY Network, HGTV, NBC, and Fine Living Network.
